Up to $98,000/yr + Profit Sharing • Duluth, MN Area (100% Onsite) • 1st Shift / Mon-Fri • Full-Time / Direct Hire

What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)
  • Lead Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical point person for internal field technicians, global dealers, and end-user customers resolving complex hydraulic and mechanical equipment issues.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Partner directly with engineering, product support, and sales teams to communicate machine performance data, recommend design enhancements, and adapt products to custom client specs.
  • Service & Warranty Management: Oversee warranty claim processing, maintain the central service database, and manage the master field service scheduling calendar.
  • Technical Training Delivery: Develop repair procedures and conduct classroom and hands-on maintenance/repair training sessions for up to 30 internal technicians, dealer reps, or customers.
  • Field Immersion & Trade Shows: Complete an initial 2–3 month field immersion alongside experienced techs to master attachment mechanics, with light ongoing travel for major industry trade shows (~3 weeks/year).
What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)
  • Hydraulic & Heavy Equipment Mastery: 5+ years of dedicated technical experience with hydraulic machinery (IE excavators, material handlers, or specialized attachments).
  • Schematic & Diagnostic Fluency: Expert ability to read and interpret complex electrical and hydraulic schematics, utilizing multi-meters, pressure gauges, and flow meters for root-cause fault tracing.
  • Education & Credentials: Associate degree in Fluid Power, Heavy Equipment Technology, formal Hydraulic Certification, or equivalent mechanical field experience.
  • Communication & Training Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with proven public speaking ability to explain technical diagnostic concepts clearly and mentor teams.
  • Career Stability: Solid, progressive employment history demonstrating multi-year tenure (ideally 3–5+ years per employer) without frequent job-hopping.
Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)
  • Dealership & OEM Background: Direct experience working within a major heavy equipment dealership service department or OEM attachment manufacturer.
  • Fluid Power Certification: International Fluid Power Society (IFPS) certification (e.g., Certified Mobile Hydraulic Technician or Specialist).
  • Warranty & ERP Software: Familiarity logging work orders and warranty claims inside industrial ERP systems or dedicated service databases.
