Job description

GLOBAL OPERATIONS MANAGER, LATIN AMERICA (COUNTRY LAUNCH)
Starlink is providing high-speed broadband to the world. This role combines traditional business planning and analysis with broader business decision-making and strategy, directly supporting Starlink's leadership. Global Operations is embedded in daily operations, supporting both near-term execution and long-term planning. Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations and to lead cross-functional decision-making and implementation of the recommendations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop comprehensive execution plan to implement market requirements for initial market access and rapid growth of operations
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the timeliness of activation upon full authorization in a market, product accessibility, and Starlink's operational health in live markets
  • Guide planning and resource management for specific verticals within Starlink, including development of business models
  • Identify initiatives for improvement of Starlink's business outlook, including developing, tracking, and executing business initiatives with Starlink's leadership
  • Identify and lead implementation of process and system enhancements to improve handoffs and execution across various teams, evolve the customer experience, or scale the business while balancing resources
  • Collaborate and partner with cross functional teams in order to build a strong networking across these departments and with external resources to ensure compliance
  • Support and educate internal stakeholders on market requirements and timeframes, working collaboratively to achieve company objectives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, business, economics, or finance
  • 4+ years of experience in business operations, project management, or strategic planning
  • 1+ year experience based abroad or working with operations outside of the United States
  • 1+ year of experience with analytical skills (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, Excel modeling, etc.)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Demonstrated success working in an environment with competing priorities and aggressive schedules
  • Experience leading complex operational and strategic initiatives
  • Ability to define and manage a project independently
  • Experience with SQL and creating/managing dashboards using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Experience using various programming languages (e.g Python, Javascript, R, SQL, HTML, XML, CSS, Ruby)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior business leaders

ADDTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends
  • This is not a remote position and would require being onsite
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Level 3: $120,000.00 - $175,000.00
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Employees in Washington State accrue paid sick time in compliance with state and federal law. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
