As a Manager, Laboratory at ICON, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing services that support clinical trials.


What You Will Do:

You will oversee clinical laboratory operations workstreams, ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the daily operations of the laboratory, including workflow management, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and accuracy in testing.
  • Leading and supervising laboratory personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high performance and adherence to protocols.
  • Ensuring that all laboratory activities comply with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborating with clinical and project teams to align laboratory services with the needs of clinical trials and client requirements.
  • Monitoring laboratory performance through key metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance quality and productivity.
  • Managing laboratory budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality output.

Your Profile:

You will have solid clinical laboratory operations experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
Required qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory sciences, biology, or a related field is preferred, with extensive experience in laboratory management or clinical laboratory settings.
  • Proven experience in managing laboratory operations, including staff supervision, workflow optimization, and quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in laboratory operations, with a focus on compliance and safety.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant tools.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a commitment to driving continuous improvement and ensuring high-quality laboratory services.
  • Willingness to travel as required (approximately 1%)
