At Colonial Heritage Club, our course is more than turf—it's an experience. We’re looking for a skilled and dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker who takes pride in creating pristine playing conditions and beautiful outdoor spaces. Compensation and Benefits: $15.00 - $18.00/hr. What You'll Be Doing: 

As part of our Golf Course Maintenance team, you’ll play a key role in keeping our grounds healthy, safe, and visually stunning. Your work will directly impact member satisfaction and the overall guest experience.

You will:

  • Maintain golf course turf, bunkers, greens, and landscaping to high playability standards
  • Operate and maintain mowers, tractors, and course equipment
  • Apply fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor course conditions, identify issues, and recommend solutions
  • Assist in irrigation management, repairs, and seasonal adjustments
  • Support daily course setup and project-based improvements
  • Work closely with leadership to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive environment
  • Follow all safety procedures while reporting hazards and supporting a safety-first culture
 

What We're Looking For: 

  • 3–5 years of experience in golf course maintenance or turf management
  • High School Diploma required; 2-year Agronomy Degree preferred
  • Advanced understanding of turf care, equipment operation, and regulatory compliance
  • State pesticide application certification (or willingness to obtain/maintain—required)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to professionalism, respect, and quality service

Environment:

This role is hands-on, active, and outdoors. You can expect:

  • Regular walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and equipment operation
  • Frequent work in heat, cold, rain, and varying outdoor conditions
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to biological materials
  • Evening and weekend shifts, especially during peak seasons
