What We Are Looking For
We're looking for an experienced Store General Manager (Hybrid Salary + Commission - 5%), with a proven track-record in Sales, to lead the Team at our location in Austin! What You'll Do
As a Store General Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the store's success - leading a high-performance team, maximizing sales, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Your role will include:
  • Management & Leadership (25%) - Analyze sales trends, set goals, and motivate your team to exceed performance metrics and targets.
  • Team Development (25%) - Hire, train, coach, and develop a winning team of approximately 15 Sales, Visual, Guest Services, and Service Associates, ensuring everyone has the tools to grow and succeed.
  • Guest Experience (10%) - Create a welcoming, customer-focused environment that keeps guests returning.
  • Visual Merchandising & Operations (5%) - Ensure the Store looks amazing and operates smoothly - from inventory management to inspiring product displays.
  • Business Strategy (5%) - Work closely with the Vice-President, Stores to drive performance and make strategic decisions.
  • Sales Opportunity (30%) - In this unique Hybrid Commission role, a portion of the compensation will be a base salary, with the opportunity to earn unlimited commission on your personal sales.

What You Will Bring
  • 5-8+ years of retail store management experience, coupled with 3-5 years of experience managing commissioned Sales Associates.
  • A passion for home furnishings, delivering extraordinary service, and building winning Teams.
  • Business acumen and organization, results-driven focus, and a desire to continuously improve on past success.
  • Openness to working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Tech-savvy, with familiarity using business systems and a willingness to learn new tools. Experience with both legacy (e.g. AS400) and modern technology platforms is a plus.
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs., move around the store with ease, and handle physical tasks when needed.
