Job description

Part-time paraprofessional (8:00am -12:00pm M-F or 11:00am - 3:00pm M-F) to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to a high school students in a variety of settings(special programs, resource replacement, gen. ed.). Responsibilities include implementing instructional and behavior support plans, facilitating students access to the curriculum, fostering independence, maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment, and collaborating with teachers, related service providers, and other members of the educational team to support student success.

This position is part-time and does not include employee benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with disabilities in a high school setting required.
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies and supporting students with academic, social, and behavioral needs.
  • Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or equivalent de-escalation/crisis intervention training preferred (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Applicants must hold Paraprofessional Certification or a minimum of 48 college credits.ย
