Overview

University Instructors, LLC is seeking talented people from diverse backgrounds to lead, change, and inspire students in the Jackson County, FL area. In this role you will serve students as a classroom teacher in a pathway program.

**Candidates that hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in ANY field are eligible to take part in our pathways program. In this program you have the opportunity to become eligible for a provisional teaching license for school year 2026-27 and beyond.

Responsibilities

Successful applicants will:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, administrators, support staff and parents.
  • Continually assess and monitor student achievement and maintain all documents and evaluations for institutional and individual reporting purposes.
  • Design and implement appropriate instructional and/or learning strategies and activities.
  • Manage student behaviors in the instructional setting to ensure an environment that is conducive to the learning process.
  • Assist in management of student behaviors in other parts of the school, center, school grounds, or work site.
  • Coordinate instructional activities with other professional staff, both school and non-school based as required, to maximize student learning opportunities.
  • Participate in in-service and professional development activities and staff meetings, as required or assigned.
  • Communicate with students on instructional expectations to keep them informed of their progress in meeting those expectations.
  • Communicate with parents through conferences and other means.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and support staff to carry out schoolwide instructional or related activities as needed.
  • Use multi-media and other technologies to enhance learning.
  • Plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives for students with varying ability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Successful applicants will:

  • Have completed a bachelor's degree program in any field from a regionally accredited university or institution.
  • Have previously completed a foundations of teaching course or be willing to take the course as a term of their employment.
  • Will work towards successfully obtaining a provisional Teaching License from the state of Virginia.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Compensation

$30 per hour | Monday-Friday | Daytime schedule
