About Us

Flyaway Geese is a national leader in humane goose control, using highly trained Border Collies to safely and effectively manage Canada geese on commercial properties, parks, schools, and government sites.
This is not a typical jobits hands-on, outdoors, and requires independence, consistency, and accountability.
Position Overview

We are seeking a highly dependable, self-motivated Wildlife Control Specialist based in the San Antonio area. This role involves working directly with a trained Border Collie to humanely haze and relocate geese from client properties.
You will be responsible for managing daily service routes, handling a working dog, and representing our company professionally on-site.
What Youll Do

  • Conduct daily goose management visits at assigned properties
  • Handle and work alongside a trained Border Collie
  • Use humane hazing techniques to move geese off-site
  • Vary visit times and strategies to prevent habituation
  • Document all visits with photos, notes, and reports
  • Communicate with management and occasionally with clients
  • Assist with nest monitoring and egg addling (seasonal, with permits)
What Were Looking For

Non-Negotiables:

  • Extremely dependable this role requires consistency every single day
  • Lives in or very near or within driving distance of San Antonio area.
  • Ability to house a working Border Collie (this is required)
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Physically able to walk long distances in all weather conditions
  • Experience riding a paddle board or willing to learn
Preferred Background:

  • Degree or experience in Wildlife Biology, Environmental Science, Animal Science, or related field
  • Experience with dog handling, livestock, or working dogs
  • Familiarity with wildlife behavior is a strong plus
