We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Sales – Aerospace & Defense to lead the expansion of our Aerospace & Defense business across North America. This executive will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic growth plan, securing new enterprise clients, and driving significant revenue growth through engineering services, project-based solutions, and managed services.

This is a true hunter role focused on developing new businesses and expanding ALTEN's presence with strategic aerospace and defense organizations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of winning enterprise accounts, navigate complex sales cycles, and build long-term executive relationships within the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the North American Aerospace & Defense growth strategy aligned with ALTEN's business objectives.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new enterprise opportunities within commercial aerospace, defense, space, and aviation markets.
  • Drive new-logo acquisition with a strong focus on strategic accounts, including Boeing and GE Aviation.
  • Build executive-level relationships with engineering, operations, procurement, and business leaders.
  • Selling engineering consulting, managed services, project-based engagements, and global delivery solutions.
  • Partner with delivery, recruiting, finance, and executive leadership to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline while achieving aggressive revenue and profitability targets.
  • Lead complex negotiations and contract discussions through close.
  • Represent ALTEN at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to strengthen market presence.
  • Collaborate with global ALTEN teams to leverage international engineering capabilities and offshore delivery solutions.

Qualifications

  • Target years of experience 8-15 years of business development or enterprise sales experience within Aerospace & Defense.
  • Demonstrated success selling engineering services, technical consulting, or managed engineering solutions.
  • Proven ability to develop new enterprise accounts and develop strategic customer relationships.
  • Strong executive network within commercial aerospace, aviation, defense, or adjacent industries.
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar sales pipelines and delivering consistent revenue growth.
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic go-to-market plans while leading complex sales pursuits.
  • Bachelor's degree required; engineering or technical background preferred. MBA is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling into Boeing, GE Aviation, or other major aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Knowledge of engineering outsourcing, global delivery models, and managed services.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering and delivery organizations in a services-based environment.

Salary Range: $160,000-$200,000 + Bonus $80,000-$100,000

The actual salary/compensation package offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
