About the Role:
Master Data Management (MDM) Architect – Retail & Supply Chain (Stibo STEP)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced MDM Architect with deep expertise in Retail and Supply Chain domains and hands-on experience implementing and architecting solutions on the Stibo STEP platform. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise MDM initiatives, define master data strategies, design scalable data architectures, and drive successful implementations across Product, Supplier, Customer, and Location domains.
This role requires strong business domain knowledge, technical architecture expertise, and the ability to work with business stakeholders, data governance teams, and implementation teams to deliver high-quality master data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
MDM Strategy & Architecture
* Define enterprise MDM strategy, roadmap, and target-state architecture.
* Design scalable and sustainable master data solutions using Stibo STEP.
* Establish master data models, hierarchies, taxonomies, and governance frameworks.
* Lead architecture reviews and provide technical direction for MDM programs.
* Develop integration architecture between MDM and enterprise applications.
Stibo STEP Implementation
* Lead end-to-end implementation and enhancement of Stibo STEP.
* Configure and architect workflows, business rules, approval processes, and data quality controls.
* Design product, supplier, customer, and location master data models within STEP.
* Optimize STEP performance, scalability, and operational processes.
* Guide development teams on STEP best practices and implementation standards.
Retail & Supply Chain Data Management
* Design Product Information Management (PIM) solutions supporting merchandising and eCommerce initiatives.
* Develop supplier onboarding and supplier master data processes.
* Architect item lifecycle management and product enrichment processes.
* Support inventory, sourcing, procurement, distribution, and fulfillment data requirements.
* Define product hierarchies, assortments, attributes, classifications, and digital asset management strategies.
Data Governance & Quality
* Establish data governance frameworks and stewardship processes.
* Define data quality standards, KPIs, and monitoring processes.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to define ownership and accountability for master data.
* Implement data validation, matching, deduplication, and survivorship rules.
Integration & Technology
* Design integrations between Stibo STEP and:
    * ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
    * eCommerce platforms
    * Supply Chain Management systems
    * CRM platforms
    * Data warehouses and analytics platforms
* Define API-based and event-driven integration patterns.
* Collaborate with cloud, integration, and application architects.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
* Partner with business leaders across Merchandising, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT.
* Conduct requirements workshops and architecture sessions.
* Mentor developers, analysts, and data stewards.
* Support program planning, estimation, and delivery governance.

Required Qualifications
Experience
* 10+ years of experience in Data Management, MDM, or Enterprise Data Architecture.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with Stibo STEP.
* Proven experience implementing Product MDM/PIM solutions in retail environments.
* Experience leading large-scale MDM transformation programs.
* Strong understanding of retail and supply chain business processes.
Technical Skills
* Deep expertise in Stibo STEP architecture and configuration.
* Strong understanding of:
    * Product Master Data
    * Supplier Master Data
    * Customer Master Data
    * Location/Store Master Data
* Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and reference data management.
* Knowledge of APIs, ETL, middleware, and integration platforms.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
