Job description

CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is looking for a GCSS-MC Functional Expert to join the team in Stafford, VA. This position is in support of the Program Management Warfare 230 (PMW 230) Logistics Integrated Information Solutions- Marine Corps. (LI2S-MC) manages a portfolio of systems that support the logistics elements of command and control, interoperability, and secure access to and visibility of critical data. The PMW 230 portfolio includes the GCSS-MC enterprise resource planning system. The GCSS-MC family of systems is the primary technology enabler for the United States Marine Corps Logistics Modernization (USMC LOGMOD) strategy, providing operating forces with modernized logistics information systems capable of deploying anywhere in the world, during peacetime or war. The PMW 230 PMO is focused on enabling the warfighter to operate while deployed or afloat, with reach-back from the battlefield.  

Established in 2001, CommIT is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) providing innovative technical engineering and data science services. Our enterprise systems support includes the Department of Defense’s (DoD) GCSS-MC, CAC2S, TBMCS-MC, and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs’ (VA) telehealth communications. We offer acquisition management, systems engineering, Agile software development, cloud management, IT modernization, data analytics, cybersecurity, and training, including leading-edge DevSecOps, automated testing, and mobile application development.


Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to-

  • Thorough understanding of Marine Corps Equipment Readiness reporting and experience in both deployed and garrison maintenance operations is desired
  • Functional knowledge and hands-on experience with GCSS-MC business processes, Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 modules including Installed Base Field Service, Mobile Field Service, Inventory, Management, Order Management, Universal Work, OBIEE, and Management Dashboards
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis with respect to all designed GCSS logistic processes and output data (e.g. trending for issues) 
  • Proven ability to lead, or be part of diverse teams in a dynamic service level environment 

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Minimum of eight years work experience with operational views, systems views, and other architecture products for the Logistics Enterprise Architecture based on the Supply Chain Operational Reference (SCOR) Model. Three of the eight years must be within the last five years. 
  • Functional knowledge or hands-on experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite R12 modules including Item master and Bill of Material, Inventory, Order Management, Spares Management, Installed Base, Demantra, Advanced Planning Suite (Oracle Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization and Advanced Supply Chain Planning), Demand Planning, Quality, Warehouse Management, OBIEE, Management Dashboards and Universal Work Queue.
  • Functional knowledge or hands-on experience with DoD Military Standard Requisitioning & Issue Procedures and Military Standard Transaction Reporting and Accounting Procedures supply transactions.
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis with respect to all designed GCSS Logistic processes.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams in a dynamic service level environment.
  • Substitution: Education may be substituted with 10 years of DoD experience, in the Retail Supply (SMU/Reparable Issue Point/RIP) and Organizational Supply field. Five of the 10 years must be within the last eight years.
