Job description

General Laborer

The General Laborer is responsible for operating industrial power equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks. This person is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job responsibilities:

  • Run a sweeper/scrubber to clean factory floors
  • Safely operate a forklift
  • Operate industrial powered vehicles (e.g., golf carts or Gators)
  • Operate aerial lifts to perform tasks above safe reach of a ladder (e.g., scissor lift, articulating lift)
  • Operate, pneumatic, battery powered and electric hand tools
  • Assist in the performance of building/equipment maintenance duties (e.g., recycling, painting, filter changes, fabrication machinery support, and coolant services)
  • Perform grounds maintenance services (e.g., landscaping and snow removal)
  • Maintain a safe work environment following all required safety regulations and protocols
  • Complete other duties as assigned
