Job description

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Guest Services Attendant shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

This position functions as a first in-person point of contact for customers, guests, visitors, donors, vendors, potential business, and Navigator Employees who visit Glen Eyrie.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Gatehouse

  • Greet an direct Glen Eyrie guests, determining appropriate access to the property, and preparing any paperwork or documentation as needed.

  • Answer a multi-line phone system and manage the Outlook calendar.

  • Responding to and managing emergency communication to/between persons on property, Glen Eyrie Management, 911 services and First Responders

  • Preparing paperwork and documentation for guest interaction

  • Check in guests at the Gate House using our reservation system when Front Desk is closed.

  • Maintaining a Glen Eyrie activity calendar within MS Outlook

  • Acting as a Glen Eyrie and Navigators public relations liaison for visitors to the Gatehouse

  • Determining appropriate access to the property for unannounced visitors according to the policies of the Guest Services department, turning away unannounced visitors when needed in a hospitable way, prioritizing the reserved guest experiences.

  • Interacting with other Glen Eyrie departments regarding arrivals of guests and visitors

  • Interacting with other Glen Eyrie departments regarding guest needs

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in Glen Eyrie Staff and Team meetings/trainings.

  • Participate in Navigators' on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings, or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate.

  • Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver's Authorization, and other releases as required.

  • Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system.

  • Must adhere to the handbooks from both the Navigators and Glen Eyrie at all times.

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.

Experience: Some retail or hospitality experience.

Technical Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office proficiency. Excellent computer skills.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to interact with guests and Glen Eyrie staff.

Compensation: $16.35 hourly
