Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Gated Community in Mission Viejo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service to residents and visitors. Using computer or tablet tools, you will communicate observations and contribute to a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communications with site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
