Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Coverage in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will be part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a people-first culture and a commitment to acting with integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and assist with verifying authorized entry, visitor activity, and delivery arrivals in accordance with site protocols.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with staff and/or public agency personnel, following post orders, and completing routine reports related to security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
