As a Clothing Fit and Garment Developer, you will lead seasonal fit development from concept through production, translating design vision into commercially viable, high-quality products. You'll combine technical expertise, fit intelligence, and market insights to create and refine fit blocks that meet both aesthetic and performance standards.
About the Job:
  • Lead seasonal style and fit development aligned with Design direction, applying fit expertise and competitive research to evolve and improve the fit portfolio.
  • Create tech packs throughout the development process (detailed construction sketches and graded measurement specs).
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of fabrics, construction, and manufacturing capabilities to deliver high-quality, cost-effective products.
  • Partner with Fit and Garment Developers to ensure application of approved fit blocks across seasonal styles.
  • Guide fit block development by establishing body measurements, evaluating prototypes, and incorporating consumer insights into final approvals.
  • Collaborate with Design to translate creative concepts into technically practical, production-ready garments.
  • Lead fittings; communicate fit and construction feedback to teams and vendors.
  • Ensure agreement on Go-To-Market Calendar timelines by integrating main milestones across our teams and external partners.
  • Be the necessary liaison between Design, Product Development, and vendors to resolve production challenges and ensure quality execution.
  • Maintain awareness of vendor capabilities, including technical expertise and equipment, to inform development decisions.
  • Communication skills are critical for successful collaboration with design and SSM teams, vendors, and factories.

About You:
You are passionate about the details and a collaborative technical expert with an understanding of fit, patternmaking, and garment construction. You can balance creative intent with production realities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent combination of education, patternmaking training).
  • 5+ years of experience in fit development, Technical design and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in manual and digital patternmaking and grading.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Gerber AccuMark; familiarity with PLM, Excel (can perform complex functions), and 3D fit tools.
  • Experience across men's and women's apparel, including woven bottoms (jeans, shorts, skirts, overalls), trucker jackets, woven tops, knit.
  • Interpret design intent and guide pattern and construction corrections with vendors
  • Experience leading fit sessions, preparing samples, and maintaining accurate specifications
  • Collaboration skills with global/overseas partners.
  • Experience with product development timelines and calendar management.

This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. We expect you in office 3 days per week, typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on our needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $92,000 - $135,000 per year We may pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. We will base the amount an employee will earn within the salary range on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and our needs.
