Synergy Care is seeking a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time float position serving multiple senior living communities in the Lafayette, Abbeville, and New Iberia areas. This role offers the opportunity to work with a supportive therapy team while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors.

Position Overview

As a COTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve their ability to perform daily activities and maintain independence. You’ll assist with implementing treatment plans designed to enhance physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist

  • Assist residents in developing and improving skills needed for daily living and independence

  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the therapy team

  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current Louisiana licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • NBCOT certification

  • Current CPR certification
