Job description

We’re seeking an experienced, results-driven Director of Sales to lead sales efforts for the Hilton Garden Inn Morgantown. This is the hotel’s primary business-development role, responsible for growing market share and driving profitable revenue. You’ll work closely with hotel leadership and Revenue Management to achieve occupancy,ADR, RevPAR, group, catering, and overall revenue goals.

Our 118-room hotel sits in Suncrest Towne Centre with renovated meeting space, minutes from West Virginia University, Milan Puskar Stadium, and Ruby Memorial Hospital — a varied and genuinely interesting book of business to own.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve hotel revenue goals.
  • Proactively prospect and develop new corporate, group, catering, and negotiated accounts.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients and top-producing accounts.
  • Respond to leads, prepare proposals and contracts, and convert opportunities into definite business.
  • Conduct sales calls, appointments, networking, site tours, and community outreach.
  • Maintain an active and qualified future sales pipeline.
  • Participate in revenue strategy, forecasting, and hotel leadership meetings.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and local demand generators.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, account information, opportunities, and bookings within the hotel’s sales systems.
  • Partner with Operations and Food & Beverage teams to ensure successful group and event execution.
  • Develop strategies for need periods and identify opportunities to increase market share.
  • Represent the hotel professionally throughout the Morgantown business and hospitality community.
Financial Accountability

You’ll own assigned revenue and departmental budgets — aggressively pursuing revenue targets, managing expenses within approved parameters, monitoring performance against budget, forecast, and prior year, and developing corrective action plans when results fall short.

What We’re Looking For
  • Hotel sales, hospitality sales, or business-development experience with a strong record of developing accounts and closing business.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable being held accountable to measurable goals.
  • Ability to analyze sales production, forecasts, budgets, and hotel performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems.

Preferred: hotel sales leadership experience, Hilton-brand experience, and Delphi or a comparable hotel sales CRM.

What Success Looks Like

Success here is more than responding to incoming leads — we’re looking for a sales leader who actively creates business. Performance is measured by revenue versus budget, new account development, group and corporate production, catering revenue, lead conversion, sales activity, pipeline development, market penetration, and expense management.

Benefits
  • Full-time team members receive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short- and long-term disability, a 401(k), and paid holidays, vacation, personal, and sick time — along with management training, employee discount programs, and room to grow within the company.
  • Bonus plan eligibility included!
