Familiarity with diagnostic tools, vehicle lifts, and specialized repair software is essential. Effective problem-solving, attention to detail, and good customer service skills help mechanics excel in diagnosing issues and interacting with clients. Garage mechanics are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of vehicles, from routine oil changes and brake inspections to more complex engine or transmission repairs.
