Job description

Job Summary:

Security Officers are responsible for patrolling the inspecting the property against illegal activities. The Security Officer is responsible for reporting any issues or concerns to the Site Manager immediately.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Safeguard property against fire, enforce property laws and work to deter all types of criminal activity.
  • Respond to all emergencies, providing emergency assistance utilizing skills and training including, but not limited to, CPR, AED, and FIRST AID care; communicate patient’s care to responding medical personnel, and apply dressings and compression when needed.
  • Transport and protect company assets when needed.
  • Investigate and document all incidents as required.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of and enforce all policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
  • Display friendly, courteous, and polite behavior to internal and external Guests at all times.
  • Give full attention to Guest opportunities and takes ownership of these opportunities to ensure Guest satisfaction.
  • Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving guests, employees and/or the facility.
  • Acts as a dispatcher during emergency situations, and coordinates solutions to same
  • Operates company vehicles as directed to do so.
  • Ensures safe transportation of company money and assists in the opening and closing.
  • Maintains or escorts a series of keys, accessing locked areas as necessary.
  • Accepts identification from all persons who appear to be under the age of thirty (30) to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service
  • Escort patrons and employees to their vehicles, as necessary.
  • Perform regular patrols of facility on foot.(Both inside and outside)
  • Identify any unsafe conditions or suspicious activity and inform management immediately.
  • Occasional surveillance review when requested.
  • Follow and understand the Security Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Any additional duties may be assigned by the Site manager or the Supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in law enforcement or gaming security preferred.

Starting pay is $17.00/hour as well as Medical, Dental and Vision insurance plus paid time off. Successful candidates must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
