Job description

Overview
The Craps Dealer is responsible for conducting the game of craps in accordance with company policies, gaming regulations, and departmental procedures while providing exceptional guest service. This position ensures the integrity of the game, accurately handles chips and payouts, maintains game security, and creates an entertaining and welcoming gaming experience for guests at Golden Nugget Casino.
Responsibilities
  • Deal craps games efficiently, accurately, and professionally in compliance with all company policies and gaming regulations.
  • Perform all dealer positions on a craps table, including Base Dealer and Stickperson responsibilities.
  • Exchange currency for gaming chips and accurately process payouts and collections.
  • Announce game action clearly and maintain a professional pace of play.
  • Monitor wagers and game outcomes to ensure accuracy and protect game integrity.
  • Detect and report suspicious activity, cheating attempts, or violations of gaming regulations.
  • Maintain proper chip inventory and table bankroll accountability.
  • Verify winning and losing bets and make accurate calculations during game play.
  • Provide outstanding guest service by greeting, engaging, and assisting guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Explain game rules, odds, and procedures to guests as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional gaming table environment.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, pit managers, security personnel, and fellow team members.

Qualifications
A Colorado Support Gaming License is Required
  • Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year of casino dealing experience, with demonstrated proficiency in craps preferred.
  • Successful completion of a recognized dealer training program or equivalent experience.
  • Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required gaming licenses and certifications.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of craps rules, procedures, and payouts.
