Overview
The Game Management position supports USU Eastern Athletics during home game day events. Duties may include event set-up and clean-up, assisting the Game Management Supervisor, and performing various tasks to support the successful operation of athletic events. The successful applicant will be assigned to work a variety of game day responsibilities based on event needs.
Responsibilities
  • Keep score
  • Film games for the broadcast
  • Check bags upon entry
  • Ball shag at field goals for soccer
  • Retrieve and give balls at volleyball games
  • Set-up and clean-up prior-to and after home games
  • Odd jobs given by the AD or Game Management Supervisor
  • Provide excellent customer service in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications
  • Previous experience with game management duties is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Requires reading, communication, and problem solving skills equivalent to a high school education or GED
  • Must be a team player who can work with the students, members of the community, and athletes
  • Must be able to work some weekends
  • Dependable, responsible contributor committed to excellence and success

Incumbents may be in both indoor and outdoor (under covered areas) environments, and may not be protected from weather conditions and may be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold. This position requires moderate physical effort. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds, walking and standing for the duration of the shift, or sitting down, depending on assigned job duties.
