Description
The Esports Facility Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Esports Facility Manager & Gaming Coach with overseeing the day-to-day operations of Samford University's state of the art Esports facility. The Esports Assistant Facility Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the high-quality experience that has become standard for all guests and visitors to the facility. This position's working hours will primarily be over the weekend, with the possibility of additional hours requested on weekdays.
This is a 9-month, part-time position.
Job Duties
  • Work alongside the Esports Facility Manager and Coach to enforce a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters personal growth and development based on Samford University's community and faith driven values.
  • Monitor the Esports facility's operations while Esports Facility Manager and Coach is offsite.
  • Help to maintain the Esports facility equipment and technology infrastructure.
  • Manage student employees present during working hours.
  • Assist the Esports Facility Manager & Coach with the coordination of weekend events/tournaments as needed.
  • Carry oneself in a manner reflective of the mission and values of Samford University and the Samford Esports program.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in administration or guest services.
  • A passion for Esports/gaming.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with competitive personalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, time management, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • The ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to look at a screen for extended periods of time.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
