Job Description:

Under the direction of the Beverage Supervisor, the incumbent maintains adequate levels of bar supplies and equipment as required and a high standard of cleanliness to the bar areas to ensure high caliber service to customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

May include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains bar area relative to supplies, equipment and the removal of empty or soiled articles.
  • Ensures that ample supplies of glassware, napkins, straws, ice and garnishes are available during service periods.
  • Completes all established bar setup duties in a timely manner.
  • Performs work assignments directed by bartender or beverage management.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to sanitation practices and procedures to ensure that bar
  • and related equipment remain clean, sanitary and odor-free at all times.
  • Knowledgeable of and adherence to food and beverage department regulations and procedures.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.

Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

·       High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 months experience in high volume food                      service, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 

·       Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and                          responsibilities.  

·       Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to                     project a professional appearance.

·       Must possess good guest service skills.

·       Must be detail oriented.

·       Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·       Must be able to work in a smoking environment

·       Able to lift up to 25lbs

·       While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use                    hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

·       Frequent lifting/carrying of weights over 100 pounds, reaching, stooping, squatting and bending.                      Pushes, pulls, stocks and unloads carts and liquor cabinets.

·       The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee                          encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

·       The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
