Description
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support. You will work closely with customers to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of their systems, troubleshooting, inspections, resolve technical issues, and provide guidance. Your role will be crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving the success of our field service operations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct system maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to provide recommendations for improvement
• Be available to support technicians
• Must be able to provide detailed notes on work orders daily
• Must be able to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
• Hand tool, power tool and multi-meter knowledge is required
• After-hours overtime and weekend work as needed based on customer demands
• Participation in after-hours on call rotation required
Requirements
• Notifier and/or Gamewell Certification, NICET, State Licenses related to applicable disciplines
• Minimum of 5 years in technical field capacity within fire alarm with additional experience serving in a leadership capacity
• In depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, plans, specifications, and solid understanding of contracting relationships.
• Competent in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good interpersonal communication skills.
