As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within Cloud Foundational Services, you will build secure, scalable, self-service platform capabilities that standardize how teams consume AWS networking, EC2, and storage. You'll lead technical delivery, raise engineering standards, and partner across teams to enable consistent cloud foundations at enterprise scale.
Job responsibilities
  • Lead design and delivery of developer platform capabilities for AWS networking, EC2, and storage.
  • Build and maintain Terraform IaC (reusable modules, state/backends, CI/CD integration, environment promotion).
  • Develop platform automation and services in Python (provisioning workflows, validations, integrations with AWS APIs).
  • Implement secure-by-default patterns (least-privilege IAM, network segmentation, encryption/KMS, secure storage configurations).
  • Review code, debug complex issues, and improve reliability through automation and standardization.
  • Mentor engineers and collaborate with architecture, security, and application teams to deliver reusable platform patterns.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years software engineering experience, including technical leadership (design ownership, mentoring, delivery accountability).
  • AWS expertise required, with deep hands-on experience in Networking, Compute, and Storage.
  • Terraform expertise required, including enterprise-scale module development and operations.
  • Python expertise required for platform automation and services.
  • Strong SDLC, CI/CD, security, resiliency, and operational stability experience in production environments.
Preferred qualifications
  • Proven Terraform module development (versioning, testing/validation, documentation, long-term maintenance).
  • Experience delivering shared platforms/foundational services in a large-scale enterprise environment.
