What is a game localization?

A Game Localization job involves adapting a video game for different languages and cultures to ensure an engaging experience for players worldwide. This includes translating text, adjusting UI elements, localizing voice-overs, and ensuring cultural relevance while preserving the game's original intent. Professionals in this role work closely with translators, writers, and developers to maintain consistency and accuracy. They may also test the localized versions to catch errors and improve overall quality. Effective localization enhances player immersion and helps games reach a global audience.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in game localization, and why are they important?

To thrive in Game Localization, you need fluency in both the source and target languages, deep cultural understanding, and experience with translation or linguistics—often supported by a related degree. Familiarity with localization tools such as CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) software, terminology databases, and content management systems is highly valued. Outstanding attention to detail, proactive communication, and strong teamwork skills help professionals excel in this collaborative, fast-paced field. These competencies are crucial for delivering high-quality, culturally relevant game experiences to global audiences while meeting tight deadlines.

What are the typical challenges faced by game localization professionals?

Game localization professionals often encounter challenges such as adapting humor, idioms, or region-specific references to make sense in the target culture, as well as working with technical limitations like text length or script constraints. Another common challenge is ensuring consistency and accuracy across large volumes of in-game text, dialogue, and user interfaces under tight deadlines. Collaboration with developers, writers, and QA testers is essential to address these issues and ensure localization quality. With effective communication and problem-solving, these challenges become rewarding opportunities to enhance the gaming experience for international players.

Job description

Are you eager to build your career in paid media while supporting high-impact acquisition efforts in a fast-moving iGaming environment?

Soft2Bet is a platform provider delivering casino and sports betting brands. With a performance-first approach, the company combines strong product execution, localization, and trusted local partnerships to drive sustainable growth across competitive regions, supported by a rigorous compliance culture and a focus on customer experience.

Location: Fort Lee, New Jersey (100% On-site)
Work Mode: Full-time, office-based (Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available)

As a PPC Specialist, you will support the PPC Manager in the day-to-day execution, monitoring, and optimization of paid media campaigns across Paid Search and other performance channels. This is a hands‑on opportunity for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who is motivated to deepen their expertise in performance marketing within a regulated industry.

You will help ensure campaigns run smoothly, identify meaningful performance trends, and contribute to ongoing testing and optimization across Soft2Bet’s iGaming and sports betting brands. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, campaigns, and cross‑functional teams while building a strong foundation in acquisition marketing.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in launching, monitoring, and optimizing paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Apple Search Ads, Microsoft Advertising (Bing), Meta, and other relevant platforms.

  • Support keyword research, audience research, and competitive analysis to improve campaign performance.

  • Track campaign metrics and identify opportunities to improve CPA, CTR, CVR, ROAS, and other core performance indicators.

  • Prepare performance reports and summarize findings, insights, and optimization recommendations for the PPC Manager.

  • Support A/B testing of ad copy, creative, landing pages, bid strategies, and audience targeting.

  • Collaborate with Creative, Content, Analytics, Product, and Compliance teams to support effective campaign execution.

  • Help ensure campaigns follow applicable advertising standards, brand guidelines, Responsible Gaming requirements, and regulatory expectations.

  • Assist with budget pacing, spend tracking, campaign maintenance, and quality assurance across platforms.

  • Stay informed on platform updates, paid‑media best practices, and competitive activity within the regulated iGaming space.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–5 years of experience in PPC, SEM, paid social, digital marketing, or campaign coordination.

  • Familiarity with Google Ads and core paid‑search and performance‑marketing concepts.

  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with campaign data, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and performance metrics.

  • Understanding of key acquisition metrics, including CPA, CTR, CVR, ROAS, and budget pacing.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross‑functional teams.

  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple campaigns, priorities, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Eagerness to learn, test, and develop expertise in performance marketing.

  • Experience in iGaming, online gaming, sports betting, or another regulated industry is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Foundational understanding of Paid Social and Display platforms.

  • Experience with Apple Search Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads Manager, or comparable media‑buying platforms.

  • Familiarity with A/B testing, landing‑page optimization, and conversion tracking.

  • Exposure to responsible advertising standards in regulated markets.

Benefits

  • Bonuses: Discretionary, performance-based

  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus 401(k)

  • Time Off: Generous PTO policy

  • Perks: Partially subsidized in‑office breakfasts and lunches

  • Culture: A collaborative, international team that celebrates milestones and wins together

  • Growth: Strong opportunities for professional development and ownership within a scaling organization
