We have an exciting opportunity for a software engineer in our connectivity team. Our team is a key part of Keysight's central research and development organization, Keysight Laboratories. This team delivers software connectivity infrastructure to be used by other Keysight development teams around the globe. You will help research, create, validate, and implement connectivity infrastructure IP involving industry-leading technology in a highly collaborative development environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with product architects to understand connectivity and network software requirements.
  • Evaluating updates in the broader marketplace that impact networking connectivity technologies.
  • Designing new software features to extend existing software capabilities to cover the needs of the next generation products, key markets, and applications.
  • Troubleshooting issues in software code and in its use in broader solutions to find and fix root cause.
  • Implementing architecture and design in code, using best practices in code quality and tooling.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with modern software architecture principles and paradigms with strong object-oriented programming and design expertise in a language such as Modern C++ or golang.
  • 8-10 years of proven expertise in architecting complex distributed software solutions, with a deep specialization in solving intricate networking and connectivity challenges.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Highly capable to quickly develop, debug and troubleshoot issues in different levels of the software stack, from drivers to application level, using state of the art debuggers, profilers and simulators.
  • Software development experience in cross-platform environments in Windows and Linux.
  • Skilled in all aspects of software development and testing, including DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A visionary problem solver who thrives on transforming complex technical challenges into elegant, innovative solutions, with an entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative mindset.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Test and Measurement applications and instrument architectures is a plus.
