Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, project managers, and customer-facing leads to bring clarity to priorities, eliminate roadblocks, strengthen communication, and work directly with leadership to define how modern product work is done. This is a forward-leaning position that leverages generative AI to accelerate strategy, planning, communication, and delivery. This person reports to Product Engineering.

Desired Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience working with the Department of War
  • Ability to travel to the Pentagon weekly
  • Experience managing multiple or complex projects at the same time in Gitlab, Jira, or similar
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal engagements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret clearance

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely delivery of contract and project deliverables that meet quality standards and client requirements
  • Develops comprehensive project plans encompassing scope based on PWS/SOW/WBS and communicates those with team members
  • Builds, communicates, and executes project schedule
  • Monitors and communicates team member project allocations and staffing
  • Identifies and coordinates the needs of team members (client laptop, systems access, CAC, etc.) to be successful
  • Identify, communicate and mitigate risk/challenges internally and to stakeholders
  • Identify, communicate, and develop opportunities consistent with project
  • Leads project team's sprint planning, backlog management, and assignment tracking in an organized manner
  • Monitors Engineering Performance and coordinates with engineering managers and technical leads as it pertains to respective projects at Game Plan Tech
  • Communicates effectively with Program Manager, Engineering leads, and other internal stakeholders
