THE POSITIONย 

The Coordinator, Game Presentation will join our high energy staff and become a leader in the sports and entertainment industry. Reporting to the Manager, Game Presentation; the Coordinator, Game Presentationโ€™s responsibilities will be primarily focused on all aspects of Calgary Wranglers game presentation and live production. The Coordinator will also play an integral support role in the planning and execution of the Saddledome Farewell Season. ย 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESย 

  • Coordinate the organization, production, and execution of all Game Presentation elements for the Calgary Wranglers in-arena show.
  • Write and produce all Calgary Wranglers game scripts using the Shoflo scripting program.
  • Serve as the lead Show Caller for all Calgary Wranglers home pre-season, regular season and playoff games.
  • Work with other departments (i.e. Broadcast & Production, Corporate Partnerships, Ticketing, Marketing and Community Relations) to help activate department objectives.
  • Continue to develop an entertaining game day experience for the hockey fans of Calgary and Southern Alberta.
  • Provide support on Game Presentation initiatives and production elements for the Calgary Flames as assigned, with a strong emphasis on the Saddledome Farewell Season.
  • Oversee part-time game day staffing for Calgary Wranglers home games, including Stage Managers, PA Announcer, In-Game Host, DJ, and Promo Crew.
  • Available to work scheduled home games or events including evenings, weekends and holidays; as well as being available to support the various clubs under the CSEC banner.
  • Actively participate in safety programs and follow policies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

THE INDIVIDUALย 

The ideal individual will have the following background:ย 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, event management or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive and supportive working relationships.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, be self-directed, work independently and handle creative direction/feedback.
  • Work well in a collaborative group environment, be a flexible and reliable team player (Both within own department and within company as a whole).
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, run, reach, kneel and lift.
  • Must have the ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of hockey.
  • Prior experience working in entertainment/live production is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS

  • A post-secondary education in marketing, event management, communications, or broadcasting is preferred.
