JOB SUMMARY:

The Utah Jazz are seeking a motivated student or recent graduate to join our Game Presentation team for the 2026-27 NBA season. This is a part-time position working approximately 30 hours per week from September 2026 through the end of the NBA season. This position will support the Director of Entertainment in executing various functions of live entertainment, creative content capture, and daily tasks that are crucial to serving our fans and corporate partners each game night. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in sports entertainment and help you develop marketable job skills transferable to a career in sports. This is a seasonal, part-time position based in Salt Lake City, UT. This person should be available to work all 41 regular season games plus preseason and playoff games. This position will also require weekly office hours (5-15 hours weekly, depending on the weekly game schedule). Assisting with Salt Lake City Stars (G-League Affiliate) games will be an added opportunity.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate closely with the Director of Entertainment, Director of Production, Mascot Assistant, Jazz Dancer Director, and Production Assistants.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of game day activities for all fan and corporate partner activations and promotions. Ensure these initiatives align with partner objectives and contribute to enhanced fan engagement across both on-court and concourse programming.
  • Participate in various departmental meetings to gain insight into the operations and interdepartmental collaboration requisite for delivering a successful event experience.
  • Provide necessary assistance with various communications among guest performers and entertainers, including soundchecks and rehearsals.
  • Offer assistance in the planning and execution of special projects, encompassing all stages from conceptualization through implementation. These projects include, but are not limited to, Opening Night and various theme nights.
  • Acquire knowledge of the Salt Lake City Stars production with the objective of eventually directing Stars games.
  • Assist with Dancer and Mascot content capture on game nights.
  • Interact with all audiences and demographics, including answering questions, taking pictures and videos, and ensuring the safety of Utah Jazz entertainers.
  • Seek out opportunities to create memorable moments for all fans.
