The Cleburne Railroaders are looking for a Stadium Operations Intern to join the team! The Stadium Operations Intern will assist the operations team in ensuring the facility is maintained, prepared, and operated efficiently for all Cleburne Railroaders games and events. Responsibilities include supporting stadium upkeep, event setup and teardown, signage and equipment maintenance, security checks, and field operations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in facility management, event operations, and sports venue logistics. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to work in a fast-paced sports environment with a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Assist the Stadium Operations Manager with the following:

  • All in-stadium operations including cleaning, construction, upkeep, and general maintenance to ensure the facility is in the best possible condition for every event held on the premises.

  • All in-stadium activities about preparation for Railroaders games and other events. This includes: table set-up for groups, garbage can placement, concourse set-up, and ensuring the stadium is clean before gates open.

  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring all in-stadium signage, including a daily walk-through to ensure all signs are hanging properly and that all flags are flying properly and not ripped or caught on barriers.

  • Assist in maintaining the security of the facility, including routine security checks, and routine checks of all suites and clubhouses to ensure lights are turned off and proper temperature is set depending on the weather.

  • Assist in the maintenance of the inflatable games and accompanying equipment throughout the year, including general upkeep of the equipment to ensure it is in the best possible shape for presentation and transporting the equipment to and from off-site events, as needed.

  • Assist in field operations duties including caring for the turf, patching the pitching mounds, setting up and tearing down batting practice, as well as assisting with any other duties that may be required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interest in earning entry into the sports industry with a focus on Facility Operations.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching, and lifting; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to work with your hands and in adverse weather conditions.

  • The ability to work independently and in a team setting.

  • Possess strong time management, multi-tasking, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours throughout the entire season for not only baseball
    games but also outside events.

  • Strong desire and pride in the workplace and its overall operation to make it
    the best in sports.

  • Possess strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented.

  • Possess experience in general maintenance with a basic knowledge of basic
    tools.

  • Ability to conduct self professionally both in personal appearance and attitude.

  • The ability to have fun while performing any task.

  • Be a leader in customer service.
