Position Title: Athletics Events & Operations Coordinator

Department: LSUA Foundation

Reports To: President of the LSUA Foundation

Employment Status: Full-time, exempt

Position Summary:

The Athletics Events & Operations Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising events and operational activities in support of LSUA Athletics. Housed within the LSUA Foundation, this position ensures that athletics-related fundraising events, donor experiences, and engagement activities are professionally managed and aligned with the Foundation's advancement and stewardship standards.

Reporting directly to the President of the LSUA Foundation, the Athletics Events & Operations Coordinator works collaboratively with foundation staff, athletics leadership, coaches, and volunteers to support fundraising priorities for Generals Athletics while providing a seamless and donor-centered experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Athletics Fundraising Events & Engagement

Plan, coordinate, and execute athletics fundraising events, including Generals Athletic Association activities, donor receptions, and game-day hospitality

Support donor engagement and recognition activities tied to athletics giving

Collaborate with athletics leadership and foundation advancement staff to align events with fundraising goals

Event Planning & Operations

Manage all logistical aspects of athletics fundraising events, including timelines, budgets, contracts, vendors, and on-site coordination

Oversee event registration, guest communications, and post-event follow-up

Ensure events are executed in accordance with LSUA Foundation policies, risk

management, and compliance requirements

Donor Experience & Stewardship

Coordinate with the Director of Stewardship & Donor Events to ensure consistent donor recognition and stewardship for athletics supporters

Assist with donor hospitality and relationship-building activities at athletic events

Support personalized engagement efforts for key athletics donors and prospects

Advancement Integration & Data Management

Maintain accurate records of athletics event participation and donor engagement in the Foundation's CRM/database

Track and report event-related metrics, including attendance and fundraising outcomes

Collaborate with advancement staff to support moves management and coordinated donor outreach

Collaboration & Volunteer Support

Support volunteer leaders and advisory groups associated with the Generals Athletic Association Committee

Work with alumni, donors, and community supporters to strengthen engagement with LSUA Athletics

Serve as a liaison between athletics, alumni engagement, and foundation operations as related to events and fundraising

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Experience in event management, nonprofit operations, advancement, athletics administration, or related field

Strong organizational and project management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with event management tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office or similar platforms

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in collegiate athletics or athletics fundraising

Familiarity with donor stewardship and advancement operations

Experience coordinating large-scale or donor-focused events

Experience working with volunteers or advisory councils
