Job description

Game Nerdz is a retailer of games, accessories, and FUN and is looking to add to our team-oriented family! The ideal candidate for the role of a Keyholder is hard-working, has a positive attitude, and is eager to learn.

Duties:

  • Arrive on time for shifts, prepared for work
  • Responsible for an outstanding customer service experience by product and brand knowledge to provide the highest level of care to customers
  • Open to feedback, communicates well and takes action as required
  • Analyze current and future store sales trends, proactively identifying business opportunities to improve sales metrics
  • Maintain an impactful store presentation that correlates to Game Nerdz standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store at all times (bathrooms, storage room, cash wrap, office, etc.).
  • Manages cash administration, oversees the receiving of new shipment, controls all returns, damages and refunds for consistency and compliance when Store Manager or Assistant Manager are not present.
  • Overseeing loss prevention, shrink goals, monitoring store inventories and ensuring highest level of accuracy
  • Respond to customer concerns and complaints including on social media.
  • Responsible for the promotion of the gaming events and player experience in store and on social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of events and ability to host events taking place in the store.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 1+ year leader of retail/hospitality store environments.
  • Retail know-how with hands-on experience managing all aspects of a retail store.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends work hours as business dictates
  • Basic knowledge of tabletop games and trading card games
  • Quick-learner and willingness to learn new processes
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Basic Computer/Software - Various computer and tablet technologies familiarity
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
