Job Summary
The Film and Media Arts (FMA) program at the University of Utah Asia Campus (U Asia Campus: https://asiacampus.utah.edu/) invites applications for a Course Instructor position (non-career-line, non-tenure-line) at the U Asia Campus (UAC). This is a temporary position for one semester, and the position's starting date is August 18, 2026, in Songdo City, Incheon, South Korea. This is a non-visa sponsored position, and applicants must already have authorization to work in South Korea. Local candidates only.
The responsibilities are to teach FILM 3570 - Digital Cinematography, a course that teaches students about the practical application of camera and lighting in film production (in English). Applicants should be familiar with general lighting/camera equipment as well as the Sony FX6 cameras that will be used by the students in this course. Applicants should hold an MFAor have at least 3 years of working experience in the capacity of Director of Photography/ Cinematographer for commercial work and exhibit a strong commitment to teaching. Experience and interest in teaching in a multilingual context are preferred, and international teaching experience is also preferred.

U Asia Campus hosts several undergraduate programs, including Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Games, Communication, Film and Media Arts, Accounting, Information Systems, Psychology, and Urban Ecology. All non-language courses are conducted in English.
