Job description

Position Overview: The part-time Game Night Staff/Street Team position will support the Washington Capitals Youth Hockey Development Department. We are looking for someone who is motivated to go above and beyond as a brand ambassador at Capitals events.

Are you passionate about youth sports and growing the game of hockey? We would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Washington Capitals brand ambassador in the greater D.C. community and surrounding areas.
  • Coordinate and participate in various street hockey and hockey school events.
  • Support Street Caps hockey clinics in the community including instructing both youth and adults.
  • Attend and run community hockey programs.
  • Represent the Capitals at local community fairs, festivals, and grassroots events.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of various women's hockey growth initiatives.
  • Plan and implement various on-ice clinics and youth hockey events.
  • Support with organizing and leading the Caps Street Team.
  • Participate in all off-ice hockey clinics and events.
  • Assist in execution of youth hockey programming at Capitals home games.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proficient ice hockey skating & playing experience required.
  • Ice hockey coaching or instructing experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, able to prioritize and problem solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Outgoing, friendly, and able to positively interact with a passionate sports fan base.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekend weekends, and holidays as needed based on event schedule.

Pay Range: $18.40 USD/hour
