Looking for an exciting and dynamic role in a fast-paced, fun environment? Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is hiring a Food & Beverage Server Assistant who will develop, maintain and enhance positive relations with all guests and staff members.

The Role

As the Food & Beverage Server Assistant, you will assist servers and bartenders in their day to day operations. To develop, maintain and enhance positive relations with all customers and staff members.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes the use of safety equipment.
  • Assist in serving food and beverages to customer and staff members as promptly and as courteously as possible.
  • Clear and bus tables, as needed.
  • Alert supervisor of any concerns regarding the quality, selection and variety of all food and beverages.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of all casino food and beverage outlets and products. Able to answer customer’s questions concerning same.
  • Communicate and maintain performance standards for interaction with customers. Act effectively to anticipate reduce or eliminate complaints from customers.
  • Communicate and cooperate with other departments to ensure best possible guest satisfaction.
  • Perform side duties including folding napkins, rolling silverware, cleaning trays, restocking shelves, filling ice bins, cleaning and breaking down service area, using cleaning compounds, and making coffee, take out trash bags, answer the telephone, train other hosts/hostesses.
  • Report to work as scheduled, on time, and ready to work.
  • Wear and maintains all uniforms properly.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education / Experience: High School Diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Skills: Demonstrated hands-on hospitality, hosting or serving experience, preferably within a gaming environment. Experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Experience in problem-solving, organizing and prioritizing work.
  • Certifications: AGLC ProServe certification and the ability to pass a criminal record check.
