COMPENSATION for this location: 

  • Training Pay: $22.00 per hour for 2 weeks (no commissions)

  • After Training: Base pay against commission $45,864 (salary)

  • Commission: UNCAPPED monthly commission ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales, based on your ability to meet specific individual sales goals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

  • Interact with customers appropriately and professionally by providing the highest level of customer service to all current and future customers
  • Drive sales by contributing to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services offered by La-Z-Boy
  • Complete all sales paperwork and customer service issues in a timely manner
  • Attend and participate in company training, store meeting
  • Assist to train, coach and develop new peers on La‐Z‐Boy product knowledge and selling process/skills to achieve store sales goals
  • Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, keep orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries
  • Follow company procedures and policies. Including policies against harassment, attendance, sales policies and procedures and customer interaction

SCOPE & IMPACT: 

  • Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes
  • Maintain a sales average consistent with Company Standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence
  • Vocational or technical training in field of study
  • Bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time
  • Reliable transportation to drive to customer homes

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding and ability to word with computer technology
