Job Summary:
InterSources Inc. is a Small, Woman, and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise with over 18 years of experience in IT Consulting Services. They are seeking a GIS Analyst/Programmer to develop and maintain GIS applications, integrate geospatial data, and provide training and support to users.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Develop, implement, and maintain GIS applications and tools using industry-standard software and programming languages.
โ€ข Integrate geospatial data with web applications, enterprise systems, and third-party platforms.
โ€ข Customize GIS software solutions (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) to meet specific project requirements.
โ€ข Create and manage spatial databases, ensuring data integrity and usability.
โ€ข Perform geospatial analysis to support decision-making and create high-quality visualizations and maps.
โ€ข Develop automated workflows using scripting languages like Python to improve efficiency.
โ€ข Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design GIS solutions tailored to their needs.
โ€ข Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and recommend enhancements to existing systems.
โ€ข Provide technical support, documentation, and training to users of GIS applications.
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS software and systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
โ€ข Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS development or software engineering.
โ€ข Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.
โ€ข Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C#.
