Job Description

The Software GIS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced GIS applications that support spatial analysis, mapping, and visualization. This role involves working with modern programming languages, spatial databases, and GIS platforms to build scalable, interactive solutions for diverse business needs. The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver with hands-on GIS development experience and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, Geospatial Technology, or related field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript (React/Vue), or C#.
  • Proficiency with GIS platforms and integrations (ArcGIS API/SDK, QGIS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with GIS data formats such as Shapefiles, GeoDatabase, GeoJSON, KML, and GML.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, or cloud-based GIS platforms.
  • Experience with cloud GIS services (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
  • Exposure to spatial analysis, geospatial modeling, or geostatistics (not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of UI/UX best practices for geospatial applications.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
