Job description

The Exus GIS Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Exus Renewables North America's GIS (Geographic Information Systems) program, support and implementations. This includes overseeing all GIS related support to all Exus wind, solar and BESS projects in Development and Operations, implementing new GIS products, methodologies, applications and strategies. This manager will have overall management of the company's GIS system, software, tools, and licenses.
This is a fully onsite, 5-days in office role.
Essential Responsibilities
  1. Primary point of contact for all Geospatial related needs within Exus Renewables North America
  2. Manage and oversee company ArcGIS Enterprise and data management system, including all GIS related hardware, software, licenses future planning budgeting and implementation of new GIS software.
  3. Perform basic to advanced geospatial tasks using ESRI ArcGIS products.
  4. Support development, engineering, and construction efforts with applicable GIS deliverables to both internal customers, consultants and external clients. Develop consistent standards for GIS support to advance company goals
  5. 5. Produce Engineering drawings required for environmental compliance, permitting and site layouts
  6. Manage and organize a digital library of GIS geographical maps in various file types. Create, edit, and manage metadata, including data sources, geoprocessing history and attribute descriptions
  7. Work with variety of data sources to develop databases of property information for site developers, including project boundaries and property ownership, leased lands, wind data, transmission lines, environmental and planimetric site features, etc.
  8. Integrating set-back criteria from project specific data sources including aerial imagery to create project level 'buildable lands' digital area maps for integration with project building and modeling software.
  9. Identifying and formatting publicly available GIS-related datasets for use in development efforts.
  10. Work closely with development team in placement of solar arrays and wind turbines with sensitivity to landowners' concerns and inputs
  11. Perform GIS related data audits and implement quality control measures across Enterprise Geodatabases and systems.

Education and Experience Requirements
  1. BS/MS degree, preferably in field directly applicable to GIS such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Science, Cartography, Geography, Engineering (Environmental, Surveying, and Planning) or related technical discipline required
  2. At least 2 years' experience with GIS systems and geospatial data analysis required
  3. Thorough knowledge and experience with ESRI suite of software including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro and extensions, ArcGIS Server, Modelbuilder and Geodatabases.
  4. Experience employing GIS software for analytical decision support and communicative cartography required
  5. Working knowledge with AutoCAD Map 3D and CAD to ESRI data conversions. AutoCAD translation of As-Built drawings and CAD Design mockups.
  6. Proficient in standard MS Office applications, Google Earth (KMZs and KMZ conversions).
  7. Experience with Road, Transmission Line/Substation Design, and Areas of Disturbance calculations preferred.
  8. Experience with processing Aerial LIDAR Digital Elevation Model Data (DEM), Drone Imagery, or other raster based datasets.
