Job Description

As an Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing advanced quantitative models to improve operating efficiency, reduce cost and increase revenue. You will have direct contact with business partners and you will participate in identifying business requirements, collecting and performing big data analysis, developing models, and generating reports to address business needs.

Qualifications

A graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in industrial engineering, statistics, operations research, or a related engineering and management discipline from an accredited University in the US

Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills

Strong knowledge of predictive data mining techniques 

Experience in big data analysis, developing, verification/validation, and deployment of quantitative models

Knowledge of simulation software, e.g. AnyLogic

Experience with statistical software/data mining tools, e.g. R

Experience with SQL and relational databases

Experience with an object-oriented programming language, e.g. Java

Ability to communicate effectively through oral presentations and written reports

Good interpersonal skills

Knowledge of commercial optimization solvers, i.e. CPLEX, is a plus

Knowledge of software development methodology is a plus

Candidates with experience in transportation industry are preferred.
