Job DescriptionJob Description
The SMT Operator position is available in Westford, MA. This role offers a long-term contract opportunity with the potential for permanent placement, and the company is known for its commitment to lean manufacturing practices.

Shift of the SMT Operator:
1st Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay Rate/Salary of the SMT Operator:
$22-$26 per hour based on recent SMT experience

Responsibilities of the SMT Operator:

  • Set-up and operate surface mount equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance and assist maintenance technicians as needed.
  • Identify and report defective components.
  • Track work progress and communicate line status hourly.
  • Inspect assembled PCBs to ensure compliance with solderability standards.

Qualifications of the SMT Operator:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of recent SMT experience.
  • Knowledge of workmanship standards and component identification.
  • Experience with pick and place equipment; Universal Fuzion is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and good organizational abilities.
