Familiarity with scenario planning tools, trend analysis software, and data visualization platforms is typically required. Effective communication, creativity, and critical thinking are essential soft skills to engage stakeholders and present complex future scenarios. Such teamwork not only broadens the impact of foresight work but also enhances professional growth through exposure to different sectors and methods.

What are future studies?

Future studies, also known as futurology, is an interdisciplinary field that explores predictions and possibilities about the future, analyzing trends, emerging technologies, and societal shifts. Professionals in this field use a range of methods, such as scenario planning and forecasting, to help organizations and governments prepare for potential changes.
