Job description

Summary:
Sew all production covers, arm pillows, back pillows, seat cushions, apex, stuffing pieces, leather pieces, cloth pieces, and slipcovers. This provides the internal customers with products to work the production schedule. This process is produced on industrial sewing machines. The end result is a complete piece of furniture.
Key Responsibilities:
Describe the job's essential duties and responsibilities using clear, declarative statements in priority order.
Responsibility
  • Operate industrial sewing machines to stitch fabric, leather, and other upholstery materials according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret production orders, blueprints, and patterns to determine sewing requirements.
  • Sew various parts of upholstered furniture, such as cushions, arms, backs, and skirting, ensuring accurate alignment and consistent quality.
  • Inspect sewn components for defects and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintain sewing machines by performing routine cleaning and minor adjustments.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with other production team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
