Site Overview:
At our Research & Development team in our state-of-the-art Innovation Center in Aston, PA, you'll have access to advanced analytical and processing tools that support cutting-edge work in polyurethane chemistry and foam technology. As part of this team, you will lead high-impact projects, contribute directly to technical and medical-grade foam products used in real-world applications, and serve as a technical expert and mentor within the organization.
Job Overview:
As a Product Development Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the introduction of innovative products to the market. In this hands-on role, you will be deeply involved in every stage of the product development process, from concept to production. Your responsibilities will include shaping the product vision, leading the overall development process, and taking ownership of product builds. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product managers, marketing, R&D, operations, and finance, to ensure that new products not only meet customer expectations but are also delivered on time.
Responsibilities:
  • Take overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering the strategic plan for product development.
  • Build iterations to existing products based on direction/feedback provided by product managers.
  • Collaborate with R&D to build new "greenfield" products.
  • Drive the development of high-quality, market-leading products that meet or exceed customer needs to stay competitive.
  • Ensure products meet all relevant regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure product feasibility and quality.
  • Optimize product development processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and accelerate time-to-market.
  • Rapidly respond to changing market conditions and customer feedback to adapt product strategies.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product development team.
  • Explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance product development processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • 7+ years of experience in product development within household durables, consumer goods, or related B2C industries.
  • Proven track record in leading the development of new product concepts, from ideation to market launch. Ability to improve existing products.
  • Experience working closely with R&D, design, and engineering teams to ensure the technical feasibility of product ideas.
  • In-depth understanding of product development processes, manufacturing methods, and materials.
  • Ability to identify consumer needs and translate them into product specifications, aligned with business strategy.
  • Visionary: Forward-thinking with the ability to envision the future of the organization's products.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing market conditions, technology trends, and business needs.
