Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for the care, removal and transport of human remains in accordance with all state, local and company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions 

  • Responsible for the transporting of the deceased from hospital, nursing home, residence, prep rooms or embalming facilities to the mortuary or funeral home.
  • Maintains the transport vehicle is well maintained by being responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness inside/out and adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment is available in the vehicle.
  • Performs duties with strict adherence to Edification Policies/Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
