Monday - Friday, daytime hours.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and requirements, including OSHA, FDA, and Airgas USA, LLC policies and procedures (SOPs).
  • In the Branch Manager's absence, the Assistant Branch Manager provides guidance to all branch personnel.
  • Reviews safety events to recommend improvements and eliminate recurrences.
  • Maintains alignment with all regulatory (OSHA, FDA, EPA, DOT) requirements, training, and records.
  • Provides guidance and support to direct reports in alignment with company policies and values.
  • Shares responsibilities to support business effectiveness and team professional growth.
  • Ensures all customers receive excellent service and timely, courteous follow-up.
  • Supports the accuracy of sales-related paperwork, inventory management, and branch shipments.
  • Advances sales activity for walk-in business and assists outside sales with quotes and leads.
  • Utilizes TRIPS and monthly dashboards to inform daily routing and sound business decisions.
  • Supports the scheduling of preventative maintenance for the facility and vehicle fleet.
  • Maintains accurate records and contributes to the continuous improvement of safety and quality programs.
Required Qualifications
  • One year of prior supervisory and /or demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Customer service experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, with one to three years related experience and /or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid Class B drivers license
  • Must have HAZMAT endorsement
  • Must have at least on year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.
  • Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.
  • DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and inclement weather.
  • Ability to maintain a drug‑free workplace.
  • Adherence to and enforce all safety regulations and policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Touch freight delivery experience
  • SAP or similar software system experience
  • Intermediate skills operating a computer in Google Platform environment is recommended.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; well organized; creative problem solving; strong service orientation; strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic product knowledge of welding, safety, gases and hardgood supplies is recommended.
  • Be able to excel in a deadline oriented environment and demonstrate a high level of competence in organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments.
