Job Description
Our client, an established Asset Management Firm is looking for a Fund Accountant. A candidate with Big 4 Public Accounting and some Hedge Fund Accounting experience is preferred. A BookTemps associate has been serving in this position for 2 years on a part-time basis. The position has been elevated to full-time direct hire due to company growth. Ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in a similar field. A CPA or MBA (finance) is preferred. Responsibilities include:
• Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Reporting
• Fund Financial Statements-Ensure timely completion of US finance mandates including audits, regulatory, tax and other filings
• SEC and/or SOX Compliance
• External Audit Compliance
• Tax Compliance and Reporting
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4 years of Big 4 experience with engagements that include Asset Management, Private Equity or Hedge Fund clients
• SEC and/or SOX experience
• CPA or MBA (finance) preferred
• Excellent communication skills
