POSITION PURPOSE

This temporary position provides project and administrative support to the Banking Operations team. The Project Temp assists with projects as assigned, such as reviewing, cleaning up, organizing, and tagging procedures, and supports day-to-day operational tasks to help ensure work is completed accurately, timely, and in alignment with credit union policies and applicable regulations. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide project support to Banking Operations, including tracking tasks, coordinating inputs, and meeting assigned deadlines.
  2. Assist with procedure cleanup and maintenance, including reviewing, formatting, organizing, and tagging procedures to improve accuracy, usability, and searchability.
  3. Support documentation management by organizing files and resources, maintaining version control as directed, and ensuring materials are appropriately stored and accessible.
  4. Assist with data entry, reconciliations, and basic reporting as assigned; verify information for completeness and escalate issues as appropriate.
  5. Prepare and distribute routine communications, job aids, and updates related to assigned projects and operational changes.
  6. Participate in process improvement efforts by identifying gaps, documenting observations, and proposing updates for review.
  7. Provide general administrative support to the team (e.g., scheduling assistance, meeting notes, copying/scanning, and other office support) as assigned.
  8. Assist with operational support tasks for Banking Operations workflows, following established procedures and guidelines.
  9. Support quality control activities such as checklist completion, document review, and audit preparation tasks as directed.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and handle member and operational information in accordance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  11. Collaborate with Banking Operations staff and other departments to obtain information, resolve routine questions, and support assigned deliverables.
  12. Use standard software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office and internal systems as trained) to complete tasks, update trackers, and maintain records.
  13. Attend team meetings, provide status updates on assigned work, and escalate risks or roadblocks to the supervisor.
  14. Provide support coverage for peak periods or special initiatives, as assigned, to help ensure timely completion of operational work.
  15. Follow all credit union policies and procedures and comply with applicable federal and state laws and regulations related to the work performed.
  16. Demonstrate a professional, service-oriented approach when interacting with internal teams and, when applicable, supporting member-related operational tasks.
  17. Assist Banking Operations leadership with special projects, research, and reports as assigned.
  18. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

 High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework or prior experience in an office, banking, or operations environment is a plus. 


KNOWLEDGE:

 Basic knowledge of general banking/credit union operations preferred and the ability to learn applicable policies and procedures. This position requires the employee to gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements as they relate to assigned tasks. The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance. 


EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in an administrative, office, or operations support role preferred. 
  • Proficiency with general office equipment and basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel/Word and Adobe Acrobat (or ability to learn quickly).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to follow written procedures, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
