Zayo is seeking a highly organized and results-driven IT Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution. In this role, you will be responsible for managing timelines, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful project delivery. The IT Project Manager will collaborate closely with teams across the organization to drive alignment, resolve roadblocks, and maintain momentum toward key business objectives. You'll coordinate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers, and cross-functional Agile teams to drive on-time, high-quality delivery aligned with SAFe principles and business goals.

This is a dynamic position that requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a passion for delivering value through structured, efficient project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.

  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution.

  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.

  • Manage changes to scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate project governance processes.

  • Communicate project status clearly and regularly to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Drive accountability and maintain alignment between teams to meet project goals.

  • Conduct project retrospectives and implement continuous improvement practices.

  • Provide transparency through timely, clear reporting of progress, velocity, and resource utilization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field required.

  • Experience working in hybrid delivery models (Agile/Waterfall mix.)

  • Experience managing projects in the telecommunications industry (e.g., network deployment, OSS/BSS, infrastructure, or digital services.)

  • Proven ability to manage complex programs with cross-functional dependencies.

  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Agile dashboards.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, CSM, or PMI-ACP certification is a plus.

  • Knowledge of SAFe roles, events, and artifacts (e.g., PI Planning, ARTs, Lean Portfolio Management.)

  • Experience in IT Compliance.

  • Experience with M&A, data conversions, or IT compliance.

  • Technical background in telecom systems, platforms, or infrastructure.

Total Base Pay Range - $77,100.00 - $118,600.00

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.


Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.


The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
